Alejandro David Chapa, Jr. born on June 27, 1960, in San Antonio, Texas was called to be with the Lord on August 4, 2023, at the age of 63. To his family, he was known as David. To his friends, he was "Chapa". His favorite sports teams were the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. David enjoyed riding his Harley, playing darts, and spending time with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuela Navarro Cantu and Alejandro D. Martinez Chapa. He is survived by his siblings, Irene C. Solis, Leticia C. Ware, Jeannie (Glenn) Leven, and Anthony Chapa; numerous nieces and nephews; many other family members and friends. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church 2010 S. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas, with a Celebration of life service to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and funeral reception afterwards. Since a cremation will take place later in place of a burial, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated. A donation box will be available on site.
