Gilberto "Gilbert" Ybarra Fort Worth Texas. January 12, 1966 Jourdanton Texas to January 21,

2020 in Fort Worth Texas.

Gilberto grew up around San Antonio Tx. Graduated from Poteet, Tx high school in 1984.

Enlisted in the United states Army 1987 – September 1991 attended Bootcamp at Fort Benning

in Columbus, Georgia. He was Veteran of the Operation Desert storm SP4 E4 as a Tele

Communications, Communications Security (COMSEC) He was awarded

• Army achievement Medal

• National Defense Service Medal

• Southwest Asia Service Medal w/2 SS

• Army Commendation Medal

• Army Lapel Button

• Sharp Shooter Marksmanship

Gilberto graduated from San Antonio College in May 1988 and became a Peace Officer. He worked as a Police Officer in Cotulla, TX , Dilley TX, Palacios, TX. He worked at Dofph Briscoe Unit in Dilley, Tx. John B. Connally Unit in Kennedy, TX and Texas Department of Criminal Justice William G. McConnell Unit in Beeville, Tx.

Gilberto worked as a Millwright Assistant, Roustabout, Jet Specialist Driver, Lowry Wholesale

Assistant Manager, CNC Machine Operator, And a Machine Operator at Martin Sprocket and

Gear. He was currently employed with Golden State Foods in Burleson, TX.

Gilbert enjoyed playing the acoustic and electric guitar. He enjoyed listening to classic rock and

blues. He was always listening to Johnny cash, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Rae Vaugh and Santana. He

loved watching western movies and reading about Texas, especially the history of the Alamo.

He enjoyed attending museums, concerts and Pow Wows. He was very adamant about learning

the Native American Culture. He loved traveling and fishing. He always spent time with Dylan

and Sydney. Martial Arts was one of the few hobbies he learned. He enjoyed meeting fellow

Police Officers and Veterans who he could talk to and share old war stories about the

Operations Desert Storm. He also loved spending time with his dogs Max & Chico.

Gilbert attended the Watermark Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Gilberto and Jalane were married

in March 2017 in Fort Worth, Tx.

He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Lucia H. Ybarra and Gilberto Ybarra

Maternal Grandparents Amalia Havarro- Esparza and Lazaro Esparza. His parents Jose S. Ybarra

Sr and Angelita Esparza Sister Mary Jane Ybarra- Alaniz.

Survived by his wife of the home Jalane Hunter- Ybarra Daughters Jacklyn and husband Havier Herrera of Corpus Christi, TX. Sydney Nova Ybarra of Dilley, TX. Sons Gilberto Ybarra Jr. Dylan Ohanzee Ybarra of Dilley TX. Step- sons Ernesto Guzman Jr. And wife Haley Guzman of Uvalde TX. Shane Bilyeu of Lawton, OK. Jeremy Bilyeu and wife Yesica Castellon- Bilyeu of Fort Worth TX. Step-daughter LaTasha Jackson and husband Aaron Jackson Of Fort Worth, TX.

Grandchildren Nikolai and Demtri Herrera, Eli & Titus Guzman, Ariyonna Jackson, Kristella &

Mia Bilyeu, Jonathan "Juanito" Bilyeu.

Brother Cruz Cerda Jr and wife Sylvia Cerda of Converse Tx. Jesse Cerda and wife Erma of

Pleasanton, Tx. Jose S. Ybarra Jr. And wife Teresa of Magnolia, Tx. Sister Sylvia De La O and husband Faustino of Poteet, Tx. Special Niece Amalia "Molly" Gonzalez and Husband Isaac Chagoya of Poteet, Tx and numerous niece and nephews.
