Obituary

Karen Annette Olle Burch passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was born November 8, 1954, in San Antonio. Karen was raised on a ranch in Leming and graduated from Pleasanton High School as Valedictorian in 1973. She married the love of her life, Miles Burch, on June 3, 1973. While Miles was in the Army stationed at Fort Hood, Karen attended Central Texas College and received a degree in Business Administration. They were transferred to many locations including Alaska between 1973 & 1981. They returned to Leming in 1988 with their two daughters. Karen decided to return to college and graduated for St. Phillip's College with an Associate's Degree in Applied Science and became a Physical Therapist Assistant. Karen Worked at South Texas Regional Rehab Center from 2003 to 2013. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Miles Burch of Leming; daughters Shanna Luby and husband Omar of Leming and Cassandra Diaz and husband Jaime of Leon Springs; grandsons Mateo and Nikolas Diaz; granddaughter Auriana Luby; mother Dorothy Olle of Leming; brother Leonard (Charlie) Olle and Wife Mary Ann of Leming; sister Rosemary Seiler and husband Blayde of Leming. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Olle. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at St. Andrew Catholic Church from 4 -7 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. A funeral mass of resurrection will be celebrated Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 10 a.m. at St Andrew Catholic Church.
