Obituary

Our beloved mother, wife and grandmother, Mary Oliva sadly passed away on January 16, 2023 in Houston, Texas at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse G. Oliva Jr, and her son Jesse J. Oliva. She is survived by her 3 children, Margie Montreuil (Ed), Johnny Lira (Gloria) and Mary Anguiano (J.J) and her 6 Grandchildren, John J. Lira (Michelle), Celeste M. Ledesma (Andrew), Mark J. Ximenez, Jr. AKA Thumper, Adrian M. Ximenez (Tania), Deserae D. Segovia (Adrian) and Xavier Reyes, and 5 Step Grandchildren Valerie J. Ximenez, Helen M. Anguiano, Joshua Anguiano, Lisa Anguiano and Christopher Gonzales and 6 Great-grandchildren Calista, Rozlyn, Aliyah, Aubree, Abby and Nathalia and 3 Step Great-grandchildren Alexis, JJ and Megan and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was the youngest of 9 children born to Jose and Juanita Urrabazo. Mary was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She was a hairdresser in San Antonio for many years. She loved music and dancing and dressed to the "nines". Mary was a huge San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys fan and would get very defensive when anyone spoke ill of her teams. She had many friends in San Antonio and most recently in Houston where she has been living since 2018. While in Houston, her dementia progressed and was placed in Group Homes with the First one being House of Hearts with Mr. Von Keith Spencer and the Second one being Mia's Development House where she felt right at home. The staff, residents, Mia as well as Minister Wayne Harris just fell in love with her wit, spunk and her loving dancing self. And lastly, Angela's Caring Hands who cared for mom the last days of her life and cared for her like she was family. I want to Thank you ALL from the bottom of our hearts for loving and taking care of our mom like she was your own mother and/or family. We, Thank God for putting each of you in our mom's path with your love and patience.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart Do not lean on your own understanding

In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will make straight your path
