Stephen E. Burgoyne  died March 16, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Stephen L. Burgoyne and Elizabeth Martha (Nagy) Burgoyne on May 17, 1944. He is survived by his siblings: Dorothy McCaulley and Betty Ledger.

Stephen touched many hearts and leaves behind many friends he made while residing in Poteet, Texas; his second family: Denise Sanchez, Charles E. Sanchez, Charles A. Sanchez, Jay R. Sanchez and Celeste A. Leal. He takes with him great memories of times spent among Katalena Qiuntero, GIanna Navarro, Michael Pascarella, Diego Puente, Armando Vidales, Randy/Mavine Ramirez, Barbara Garza, Irma Rodriguez, Mark Cantu, Richard & Cindy Garza, Irma Rodriguez, Rebecca Garza, Adam & JoAnn Garza, Anna Donato, Ida Trevino, Gabrielle Fernandez, Tranky Morales, Oscar River, Lettie Trevino, Anestasio & LIllie Trevino, Cornia Ambriz, State Rep. Ryan Guillen, Sen. Roland Gutierrez, County Judge Bob Hurley, Staff at the Atascosa County Veterans Service Office, Sarah Gamboa, Ashley Okruhlik, Elizabeth Branson, Dr. Benjamin S. Zertuche, Sharon Smith, Adriana WIlliams and Sweety Dmello.

Pallbearers will include: Rick Luna, Willie Sanchez, Mark Cantu, Charles E> Sanchez, Michael Pascarella and Oscar RIver.

A Graveside Service along with Military Honors will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 9:15 A.M. Shelter #2.

Masks are required for the service and social distancing is requested for all attendees.
