Obituary

Beloved husband and devoted father, Willie Ortiz Pacheco, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 05, 2025, in Jourdanton, Tx. Willie was born on February 10, 1945, in Pleasanton and was a lifelong resident of the community he enjoyed so much. Willie was the heart and soul of his family, a dedicated provider whose unwavering work ethic and years of toil in construction built not just structures, but a foundation of love and security. His small-town values fueled his spirit, guiding him to nurture a tight-knit community where everyone belonged. With a warm smile that could brighten the darkest day, a boundless generosity, and his signature sunglasses, Willie was always there – ready to lend a hand, to lift a burden, and to share in the joy and sorrow of others. He never saw a stranger, only friends waiting to be welcomed. His life was a testament to kindness, strength, and the enduring power of a generous heart.

He is survived by his loving wife, Arcilia; his daughter, Shirley Sanchez (John Joe); and  grandchildren Desirae Gaitan (Randy), Pete Gaitan III, and Johnny Zamora (Sydney). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way. Additionally, Willie leaves behind his brother, Reynaldo Pacheco (Lupe), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Juanita Pacheco, as well as his sisters, Mary Jane Jimenez, Jovita Perez, Victoria Guajardo, Emma Martinez, and Elida Pacheco, and his grandson, Shawn Michael Gaitan.

Pallbearers will be: Pete Gaitan III, JJ Zamora, Johnny Zamora, Vidal Martinez, Raymond Martinez, Edward Martinez and Juan Martinez Jr.

The family will receive friends and relatives at St. Andrew Catholic Church, in Pleasanton, Texas, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Resurrection. Interment will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery in Pleasanton, Texas.
